Friday 12th December

This week in English we have been writing our own versions of Shh Santa. Mrs Bootle and Mrs Roberson were looking for finger spaces, full stops and capital letters and the adjoining word 'and'.

In maths we started the week by solving maths number problems. First we read the problem and decided what the important information was. Then we drew a picture or number line to represent the problem. Then we wrote the number sentence and solved the problem!
We have also been learning about turns. This learning links really well to our learning about fractions. as we learnt about whole, half and quarter turns. Some of us managed to follow instructions to turn clockwise or anti-clockwise!

In design and technology the children made their own moveable toys using spilt pins.

In science this week we have been finding out about animals that live in the North Pole and we have made our own little books about a chosen animal that lives there.

In ICT we have been busy using the Too Simple painting program to make our own Christmas pictures for our Christmas cards.

Have a lovely weekend and we will see you for a very busy and exciting last week!
