Thursday 2nd April

In English this week we continued to use the story of Six Dinner Sid to write our own sentences about the significant events that happened inthe story. We then planned our own versions of Six Dinner Sid using a story map. Ask your child what their story was called. The next day we wrote our own story remembering to use finger spaces, full stops and capital letters.

In maths we have been learning to find 1/2 and 1/4 of different quantities.
e.g. 1/2 of 12 1/4 of 8

In geography this week we learnt about the seven continents. How many can your child name for you? As a group we positioned the continents and then sorted animals according to the continent in which they lived.

We have had great fun developing our gymnastic skills this half term.  Look how much fun we had!

On Wednesday the children had a great time practising their skipping skills at the skipping workshop. Woodpeckers also got 10 apples this week and enjoyed themselves at the disco!

Have a wonderful Easter holiday and we will see everyone on Monday 20th April looking rested and ready to start our topic all about Harpenden.

Finally can the children please bring in a photo of themselves somewhere in Harpenden one for our class display and another for the school display.

Thank you.
