We hope that you enjoyed our assembly and we are sure you were impressed at the songs and story the children learnt. We hope you enjoyed visiting the classroom and having a look at the learning.
During book week we have been having lots of fun finding numbers in story books. Here are a few books we have found numbers in.

You may like to see if you can borrow these books from Harpenden
library and let your child find the numbers.
You could do the same with any story book.
We found numbers in these
pictures.
You may like to take a photo of a picture and write all the numbers
your child found in that picture. Please
send them in for your child to share
with their class.
During Book Week we also did some problem solving using the story 'Lullabyhullabaloo' by Mick Inkpen.
Look at the sort of problems we solved.
The Little Princess saw 6 legs walk on the turrets of the castle.
Which creatures could she have seen?
How many owls?
If she saw one owl, how many dragons would she have seen if she saw 6 legs.
Some of us challenged ourselves to finding legs too.

Choose three colours to colour the jewels on the crown. Each jewel must be a different colour. How many combinations can you find? Can you work logically to check you have found all the possibilities.
Roll a dice to colour the squares. 1= red 2 = blue 3 = yellow 4= green 5 = orange 6 = purple
We also went into our school library and read with our friends.
During Book Week some of our chose to use the library at lunchtime at our 'Loving the Library' session. Thank you to those parents who volunteered to help at these sessions.
Today we have continued making our carriages, painting the details on them.Next week we will finish the wheels and axles and add any decorations.
We hope you have fun at the movie night and have a lovely weekend. We can't believe it is only one week until half term - but we are looking forward to the rest
